WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT IT?
PARENT COMMENTS:
1. The drums and shakers nearly ruined the final string number Doo-Wah Diddy. They were NOWHERE NEAR on the beat. Next time do without them. The music for American Pop was too loud, especially during the solos.
2. At orientation, Ashlei should take $ on one end, Kristen take $ on the other end. The line was too long in a hot trailer. Don’t need new t-shirt each year; we don’t have your snacks- $20 for what?? Lunch trailer too crowded!
3. Finale did not show my child’s achievement in Keyboard. Otherwise, excellent.
4. This is the best camp ever!!!
5. Finale show could be quicker between age groups.
6. Would like the $20 extra fee per session reduced if possible, especially if child has t-shirt from prior year in good condition.

NOT AN AREA OVER WHICH WE HAVE CONTROL –or- TOPIC ABOUT WHICH MS. NICOLE IS GATHERING INFORMATION ONLY, NOT SEEKING RATINGS |
Footnotes on the Scores:
*Because parents do not attend the staff orientation, they may not be aware that staff are trained in and follow safety, security, and emergency procedures.
**Because parents were not in camp when these policies were explained, they may not have been aware that audition procedures, preparation suggestions, and rating rubrics were taught in detail during singing and tutti time on day 1. The audition scoring rubric is also printed in the Camp Handbook. In addition, practice CDs for each show were made available on Day 1 so that campers could adequately prepare for their auditions.
***Unfortunately, not everyone can get the best parts. This is why Ms. Nicole requires every camper to sign up for 3 different parts prior to auditioning, and why the part assignment process is posted with the parts when they are posted. Ms. Nicole assigns parts as objectively as possible based on the audition scoring rubric as laid out in the Handbook.

WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT IT?
PARENT COMMENTS:
1. Some of the songs and solos could be shortened a little- both instrumental & vocal- especially the last song “Heart Goes On”
2. 4 day week NOT GOOD. Kids seem to be stressed out to have to learn so much in a very short time. (past camper) (Parent not satisfied w/quality of camp or w/ singing/percussion, Child not satisfied with vocal part)
3. I wish this program was available throughout the school year. Thank you!
4. Obviously some of the solos were of children who have had other musical/instrument training- you should stick to what’s learned in the camp only, then it would not be so long and does not give the impression that this is what was taught/learned in the 7 days. Some of the older counselors dress too revealing- especially when they bend over.
5. Thanks for a great experience!
