AGENDA
I. Welcome!
A. Thank You so much for coming! Please sign in.

B. Treasurer
C. President/Vice-Presidents
D. Mrs. Greggs- practice CDs (thanks to all who duplicated!); calendar changes (Nov. rehearsals extended to 3:30 effective next week; child will be excused at 3:15 if you drop me a note that 3:30 is a problem); chorus website & bulletin board are great info sources! Solo auditions for Dec. concerts by appt. now thru Dec. 1.
III. Old Business
A. Uniforms-
1. Formal Uniforms have been ordered. Boys’ will be in soon; girls’ will be in Dec. 4 at the latest. 4 larger-size extra dresses ordered for the Uniform Bank so girls can trade up if they grow. Formal Uniform Check Day is Dec. 7 for those ordering new dresses or Nov. 30 for everyone else. Earlier date due to recently scheduled performances week of Nov. 30 and holiday show Dec. 9 at SPHS. Goal= check everyone we can by Nov. 30 & allow extra time for new dresses to be hemmed. Reminder- DO NOT CUT dress or pants HEMS!!! Baste stitch or safety pin only. Hems must touch the top of the toe portion of the shoe.
2. Informal uniform check at Sing-a-Thon went well… 25 points- Biggest issue=wrong socks. Thanks 4 being prepared! Rechecks occurred today…
B. Fall Sing-a-Thon- Fri. Oct. 16 from 2-6:30pm- wrap-up
1. Thanks to all Volunteers! Grand total just under $2000- awesome in today’s economy! Proceeds go to children’s accounts & PPSBA general fund (50%/50%)
2. MINI-CONCERT - after only 4 rehearsals, overall grade= 78.8% C+- Strongest areas= bowing together & tone quality; weakest areas = stage presence (talking between songs, fidgeting, exiting risers quietly). Thanks parents for your honest feedback! Kids now have data on where they are and where they need to improve.
3. Musicianship tests- were returned to students Oct. 26. Those who scored >= 90% or better move on to study for level 2; those with less than 90% retake level 1 at spring sing-a-thon in February. Please encourage kids to look over study sheets in chorus notebooks periodically. Thanks to all who graded!
